The yard was as pretty as any city park and bloomed from spring to fall with many varieties at the same time.
A great-granddaughter is the prettiest flower of them all.   Here she sits in front of the STAR flower bed that was the highlight of the yard.    1967
The same STAR flower bed with granddaughters.  Picture taken around 1949.  Grandma also made the pretty dresses that were white with purple flowers.
A great-grandson rides his bike along the back sidewalk and the roses that bloomed all summer. A bed of white alyssum flowed onto the sidewalk.  1967
The snowball bush was a real focal point.
Changing seasons.   A view from my home looking west to the back yard of my grandparents' yard.   In the summer picture, Grandpa is resting in a lawn chair  on the caport beneath the tree.           1967
Cherry trees along the drive put on a real show in the spring. 1967
